Wow .. we decided to check out a lighthouse that we had never been too. Coquille River Lighthouse, it was near a driftwood beach. I think every piece of driftwood on the pacific coast lands here. They did not have history on it so not sure. It was crazy how much driftwood was there. Look below .. WOW!! |
Here are Tayla and I at the driftwood beach. It was so much fun to sit on these fun creations from the water melding trees and smoothing them out. It was wild.
We wanted to spend the day there, but it was getting late and we needed to go home .. we had so much fun. We drove down the Oregon coast and stopped at every quilt shop down Highway 101. Oh the fabric we saw .. .. .. and oh the fabric we bought .. .. .. LOL!!
This was the poor run down lighthouse that we saw when we went to the beach. Coquille River Lighthouse, it is really sad to see the lighthouse in disarray as some of the photos online are right after it was painted white and it looked so beautiful and fresh. It is hard to see it run down but it does not last long in that salty sea air. |
